Overview

This policy describes how hostdocs (“we”) handles information when you use our website and service. We aim to collect only what we need to run the product.

Information we collect

  • Account data — your name and email, provided through our authentication provider when you sign up.
  • Content you publish — the HTML pages you upload and their version history.
  • Billing data — handled by our payments processor; we store a customer identifier and subscription status, not card details.
  • Usage and diagnostics — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

To provide and improve the service, authenticate you, process payments, communicate with you, and keep the platform secure.

Subprocessors

We rely on trusted providers including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and Cloudflare (storage and content delivery). Each processes data on our behalf under their own terms.

Data retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can delete pages at any time and request account deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
